The folk culture is still extremely important in the Wildschönau.

Folk Music in the Wildschönau

In this musical valley, folk music enjoys particular popularity.  There are four brass bands, 12 choirs and numerous small music groups taking care that the cultural treasure doesn't die out. The children take in a love of music from birth and are taught in kindergarten and of course in the Music High School to carry on the musical tradition. In the past, families would often make their own music at home, nowadays you have to visit one of the many events to experience Tyrolean folk music at its best.
