Who is this Scott?

An english guest in the Wildschönau once asked, `Who is this Scott?`.

The puzzled hotel manager didn't quite know what the guest meant. `Everywhere I go in the Wildschönau, I'm greeted as Scott, even by the kids on the street` explained the guest. It took a while for the penny to drop. The hotelier laughed and explained how kids in the Wildschönau are taught to greet everyone, even strangers they pass on the street with a Gruß Gott or `s Gott, meaning God greets you!

This small greeting is typical of the warmth of the local people here in the Wildschönau Valley. Guests are made to feel at home right from the start, and many return year after year.
