From fine liqueurs to the famous Krautinger beet schnapps.
Without doubt the best known Wildschönau specilaity is the schnapps made from white beet known as Krautinger.
15 Wildschönau farmers are licenced to distill Krautinger. The local people and their guests swear by the healing properties of the schnapps for all stomach upsets.
Other fine schnapps is of course produced here. The ingredients range from apples and pears to blackberries and Mountain Ash berries.
Zwecklhof
Siegfried Kistl is an expert and well known schnapps distiller. His schnapps distillery on his idyllic farm the Zwecklhof can be visited and his prize winning wares tasted anytime.
