Schönanger Show Dairy
The Schönanger Dairy is at the end of the valley at the foot of the Wildschönau's highest mountain.
An unbelievable 2000 litres of milk daily is processed on the Schönanger Alm. A conglomerate of 25 farmers send their cattle to the Alm in the summer months and butter and in particular cheese is made here to the highest quality. Josef Schönauer, the master cheese maker has won numerous prizes at the Cheese Olympics. His Mountain Cheese is on sale and you can watch how it's done in the show dairy.

Schönangeralm lies at the end of the Wildschönau Valley at the foot of the Wilschönau's highest mountain, the Grosser Beil. The Alm is the starting point for numerous lovely walks around the high meadows. Afterwards we recommend you drop into the Schönangeralm restaurant for excellent homemade cakes and very good food and enjoy the magnificent mountain views.
