A few suggestions for hiking around the Schatzberg and the Markbachjoch Mountains.
Suggestions for hikes around the Markbachjoch
(starting point - top of the cable car)
Käsealm - Horler Stiegl
An easy walk on route nr. 2 to the Käsealm where you can make a stop. Tirolean cheeses and dairy produce are made here. Then on to the Horler Stiegl chapel (starting point for the Feldalphorn Mountain) and back to the Markbachjoch. Approx. 2 hrs.
Rosskopf
At the fork with route 1 to Lanerköpfl, Halsgatterl and the Rosskopf (1731m with fantastic views over the Inn Valley). Come down to the Rosskopf Hut for a stop and then on to Oberau OR back to the Horler Stiegl chapel and via the Käsealm back to the gondola. Approx. 2-3 hours.

Suggestions for hikes around the Schatzberg
(starting point - top of the cable car)
Schatzberg circular route from the top of the gondola to the Gern Alm and back. Approx 90 minutes. Fantastic panorama views and lots of seats to enjoy them!
Via the high meadows (alms) back to Auffach
Start at the top of the gondola and then on to the Schatzberg peak, Gern Alm, Grasing Alm, Talstner Alm and Mitterberg Alm. Then either via Aschbach or via the Steiner Farm back to Auffach. Approx. 3.5 hrs.
