Silver Mine

After a fairy tale 130 years sleep, the derelict silver mine in Thierbach was reawakened in 1991. 

 

Take a trip back in time to the original Wildschönau mine with its medieval shaft system and a fairy tale cave for the children. The old tools are on display as well as examples of the mine workings.
Guided tours for groups and schools are possible any time.

Bookings on T +43 (0) 5339 2700. In the summer barbecue facilties are available free of charge. Entrance is free with the Wildschönau Card.
The mine is open for groups only in winter or with a sleigh ride from Thierbach. Bookings see above.
