We know how to throw a party in the villages and on the mountain!
A look at the mountáin festival planned this summer:
Summer Solstice on the Markbachjoch in Niederau 21.6.08
The Markbachjoch cable car is open from 6pm to transport you to the top of the mountain where the summer solstice is celebrated with a huge bonfire, musical entertainment and plenty of food and drink. Fires are lit on all the surrounding mountains in the old tradition.
'Über's Joch ummi schauen' Traditional brass folk music played on the Schatzberg in Auffach 22.6.08
After the mountain mass on the Schatzberg Peak at 11am (about 30 minutes walk from the top of the gondola) different brass ensembles play at the on the routes around the Schatzberg and then in the Schatzberg and Kogelmoos mountain restaurants.
Family Festival on the Schatzberg 7.9.08
This is a festival to celebrate the start of the beautiful Wildschönau autumn. Families and singles will find loads to do on the top of the Schatzberg including, pony riding, climbing tower, and bouncy castle for the kids and musical highlights as well as plenty to eat and drink for the adults.
11am - 12pm the Auffach Brass Band are playing and from 1pm the 'Klobstoana' from Kössen.
