Moonlight Tobogganning
If you're looking for adventure by moonlight, we have just the thing in the Wildschönau. How about a fun toboggan evening? You take the last lift up to the Schatzberg. After dinner at Johann's on the top of the mountain, Markus , your coach will organise your slegdges and a head lamp (which you may not really need). For five short kilometres you snake your way down to the tiny hamlet of Thierbach, where the Leisure Train is waiting to bring you back to the Schatzberg lift in Auffach.
Meeting Point: Schatzberg lift, every Sunday at 3.40 pm. Price € 12 per person (kids and adults), including double seater tobboggan, headlamp and transfer on the Leisure Train to Mühltal, Auffach, Oberau and Niederau at 5.30pm.
If you don't have a lift pass, you will need to buy a one way trip to the top of the Schatzberg. Bookings in the Tourist Office by Sunday 11.00am.
Flood lit tobogganing on Roggenboden in Oberau
In the Wildschönau there's no need to miss out on skiing to try out tobogganing. The lifts on Roggenboden in Oberau run on Wednesday and Thursday nights by floodlight (groups any day). Tobogganing Evening on the Slow Train
Every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 8pm from the Schatzberg lift in Auffach. Take the Slow Train to the mid station. After a fortifying Glühwein you toboggan down the 5 km long run back to the village kitted out with a specially lit toboggan. Price: € 10/7 per person. please book on T. +43 5339 8090.
