High Trail Trophy

The new hiking highlight in the Wildschönau is the Wildschönau High Trail.

The 1st. Wildschönau High Trail Trophy will be taking place on 1. July 2023.

The event starts at 8:00 am at the valley station of the Markbachjoch cable car in Niederau.

The starter package includes:

•  A small snack (fruit, drink & muesli bar).
•  A souvenir function shirt.
•  Return journey from the finish (Schönanger Alm) back to the starting point on the hiking bus.
•  Starter package for individual hikers € 29 per person.
•  Starter package for teams of 3 € 70 per team.
•  Additional costs: Reduced price lift ticket for the Markbachjoch cable car (€ 7,40 per person). The trip is included for holders of the Wildschönau Card and the Wildschönau Sommercard.

The trail leads over four peaks and rustic alpine pastures, passing through beautiful landscape on the way to the end of the valley, the Schönanger Alm.

Registrations at short notice are possible on a request Basis.

The facts: The hiking route is categorised as moderately difficult and has also been awarded the Tirolean Mountain Trail Quality Seal. The route is 14.5 km long with 673 uphill and 958 downhill metres.

Try the hike along the Wildschönau High Trail. For more ambitious walkers there is an individual and a team classification.

Attractive prizes are to be won for the three fastest individuals and the three fastest teams!

But the motto is "hike without pressure to perform".

Good to know: Minimum age is 10.
The local Mountain Rescue will be on hand to help along the way.

There is no classification for trail runners.
The last bus leaves Schönanger Alm at 4:40 p.m.

In the event of extremely bad weather the Trophy will be postponed until 8 July.
