The Schatzberg in Auffach is a feel-good mountain. The wide open slopes make carving easy on both skis and boards. The runs lie above the tree line and are wide and sunny. Off piste there are plenty of bumps and powder. The home run is seven fantastic km long, the longest in the Wildschönau. The new run down to the combination lift to Alpbach is a 2 km long red. Alpbach offers exciting runs and is a heaven for freeriders or powder skiers. The two ski areas complement each other perfectly and offer a wide spectrum of skiing. At the middle station is the children’s ski area.
Snow making facilities are now installed on 85% of all of the Ski Juwel slopes.
The north facing slopes on the Lanerköpfl and Markbachjoch mountains in Niederau have been ski runs since 1947. The easier slopes are on the wide Kropfrader and Mittermoos ridges but the valley runs, especially the Hochberg or the Stöck and Sixtwiese ski routes through the woods are demanding, even for experienced skiers. The Märchenwiesen (fairytale meadow) run takes you back to the gondola. All slopes are serviced by snow cannons!
The runs in the village are perfect for beginners and children to practice on the drags.
Test your speed in the Race n Boarder Arena.
In the centre of Oberau on the Schiesshüttl slopes there are two drag lifts which are, just like in Niederau perfect for beginners and kids. At Roggenboden there are a further two drags used in the evenings for tobogganing or floodlit skiing.
