The cable cars to the Markbachjoch and Schatzberg Mountains run throughout the summer months and provide an excellent starting point for beautiful walks.
Markbachjoch
The Markbachjoch cable car is open from 9. May. From the cable car walks take you to the Rosskopf Mountain or the Horler Stiege chapel. Rustic huts are scattered around the mountain tops for rest and refreshment. Families love the little playground and petting zoo at the Markbachjoch Alm and the sunny plateau is the start for the paragliding school.
Schatzberg
The cable car in Auffach runs from 8. June to the top of the Schatzberg Mountain. From here impressive walks start with fantastic views into the Inn Valley, the Wildschönau and Alpbach Valleys and even the Ziller Valley.
Rest stops include the Gipfö Hit, Schatzberg Alm or Koglmoos restaurants

Daily from 9 am to 12 pm and 1 to 5 pm (last lift down)

Events on the mountain
Following festivals are taking place in summer 2013 on the mountain.
22. June Summer Solstice Festival on the Markbachjoch.
23. June „Übers Joch ummi’schaun“ Brass ensembles meet on the top of the Schatzberg for musical encounters both open air and in the mountain
restaurants.
25. August Tyrolean Dance Music Festival in the Hohlrieder Alm, mid station of the Schatzberg.
