Safety first in the winter season

Latest information and safety measures for the winter 2020/21 season in the Wildschönau
<>Ski lifts – tobogganing - cross country - winter walking - ice skating in the Wildschönau

The ski lifts in Auffach opened on 24. December
Skiing is allowed with some restrictions.
In the cable cars, chairlifts with a weather hood and in all waiting areas the wearing of a FFP2 mask is mandatory for everyone over 15. For children 7 - 14 yrs of age mouth and nose must be covered.
Furthermore the Austrian State Government has announced that hotels and restaurants must remain closed until 24. January.
Please remember to carry a FFP2 mask, a snack and plently to drink, when skiing in the Wildschönau. Some mountain restaurants offer a take-away service.
We will inform you about the opening of ski lifts in Niederau and Oberau as soon as possible.

Accommodation & restaurants

Because of the international pandemic developements, hotels and restaurants must remain closed. The lockdown in Austria has been extended until 24. January. We will inform you of any changes as they happen.

 

Winter season 2020/2021

At the moment it is impossible to give an exact prognosis as to the further winter season. We are doing everything in our power to ensure a safe environment for your winter holiday.

Security measures for ski lifts, ski buses, ski rental and ski schools

tests

A negative corona test will be required from all staff before the start of the season. Regular tests will be carried out during winter to ensure the maximum safety for our ski school clients.

keep your distance

If the necessary distance of 1.5 m between staff and clients cannot be upheld, please wear a mask.
If necessary the start time for ski courses will be delayed or brought forward. You will be informed in good time.
The location of the ski school meeting points all meet distancing requirements.

Glass protection

 Sales pults are protected by plexi glass panes.

Online booking and reservations

Customers are requested to book their ski course in advance, online or by phone in order to reduce direct contact as much as possible.

Reduced group sizes

The size of classes will be kept to a minimum. No more than 10 participents are allowed. Private courses for adults are also recommended.

Contact details

Guests are recorded with their name, mobile number or email and accommodation name. This means that contact can be made quickly in an emergency.

SARS-Cov-2 Tests are possible at the following Doctors' surgeries in the Wildschönau:

Should you develop flu-like symptoms during your holiday, please contact the Corona Helpline on T. 1450
The hotline is manned day and night. If the suspected infection is justified, the costs of a test will be covered.

You can of course be tested without symptoms. Tests are offered by local doctors. For these tests there will be a charge of between € 90 & € 120. You will receive the test results within 2 days.

Contact Tracing App

The app was developed in cooperation with the Austrian government and the Austrian Red Cross to fight the Corona Virus and can be downloaded for free.
