Walking World Championship Route to the Cheese Alm 13 km

From the start in Oberau go to the end of the village towards Niederau. Turn left onto the beautiful St. Frances Sculpture Path which is 2.5 km long and takes you to the start of Niederau. Continue straight on through the village centre and pass the church. Right after the church on the right hand side is the Markbachjoch cable car. Take the cable car to the top and turn right when you get out. The walking path nr. 2 bears left and leads to the Cheese Alm, a beautiful spot to take refreshments. Return on the same route, take the cable car back down to Niederau and walk along St Francis Path back to Oberau.
