There is plenty of space for both children and their parents on the wide open pistes of the Schatzberg. The hollow on the Gipfel slope is like a natural half pipe. The Thalerkogl Family Park in Auffach is the playground for snowboarders and freeriders with it’s various obstacles. At the end of the run awaits the gondola down to neighbouring Inner Alpbach where there is even more family-friendly skiing.
The beginners drag and a second SUN KID lift as well as a spacious piste is reserved for ski school’s Zwergen Kinderland at the mid station of the Schatzberg cable car.
The name Märchenwiesen means fairy tale meadow and for little advanced skiers and their mums and dads it is a dream run but a challenging one. The attraction is the long schuss at the end back to the cable car.. The meeting point for beginners is the nursery slope in the village centre. The wide slope and short lifts and right in the middle Bobo’s and Akti Kids Clubs make this the perfect location for small children.
Directly in the village is home to the Happy Ski School, where easy beginners slopes and a kid’s playground make learning great fun.
The 2 slopes in Roggenboden in Oberau are not only a favourite for families and groups but also for those who haven’t had enough skiing during the day and want to continue in the evening by floodlight. Floodlit tobogganing and skiiing takes place here every Wednesday and Thursday.
Parents and grandparents can watch the bigger kids‘ first turns and at the same time play in the snow with the toddlers.
