Oberau Church
Experience a beautiful parish church with a historic atmosphere.
The baroque church in Oberau with it's 52 metre high steeple is unique in Tirol and a landmark in the Wildschönau Valley.
Because of it's size, St Margareth's is often called the Wildschönau Cathedral.
The church was first mentioned in records dating from 1394. A fire destroyed the original church in 1719 and building work began on the baroque church which stands today.
