Walk alongside little mountain lakes to the Feldalphorn Mountain
We take the Gondola to the top of the Markbachjoch and walk via the Holz Alm or Cheese Farm with its fascinating insight into the dairy and cheese making art with guided tours twice weekly. The delicious cheeses are on sale. Find out more about the guided tour at the Tourist Officeand. Passing the tiny Horlerstiegl Chapel we take the steep path to the Feldalphorn Peak (1920m). Tiny tarns and moors lie on the plateau and in summer jewelled dragonflies flit around the ponds. The final ascent demands a certain sure-footedness but the reward is the unforgettable view. Our descent takes us back to the goldola station and Niederau.
The walk takes place every Tuesday 14.09. - 09.10.2020 in autumn.
