The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau offers a diverse and easily accessible skiing experience in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol.
The ski area, with guaranteed snow, extends up to 2,030 meters above sea level. The lifts on the Schatzberg, including the connecting lift, provide a direct link to the Alpbachtal.
The Wildschönau is also a certified Tyrolean family ski region and is known for its numerous family-friendly offerings.
Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau is one of Tyrol’s largest ski resorts and regularly receives awards from review sites in the categories “Families and Children,” “Slope Conditions,” and “Service.” In total, there are 114 kilometers of slopes and 45 lifts available.

The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau is open until April 4th, 2027.
- Markbachjoch / Niederau from mid-December to mid-March 2027
- Schatzberg / Auffach & Schatzberg-Inneralpbach connecting lift from December 4th to April 4th, 2027

With just one ski pass, you have access to all the slopes in the ski area. Whether it’s the wide runs on the Schatzberg, the varied slopes at Markbachjoch, or the beginner lifts in Oberau and at Roggenboden - everyone can find their favorite slope here. The children’s ski lifts and practice areas are a huge advantage, especially for families. All children's areas are located in easily accessible spots throughout the ski resort and offer ideal conditions for taking those first turns in the snow.

The glittering metal cross on the Schatzberg is the perfect spot for a breathtaking panoramic view. From here, a panorama of four mountain ranges unfolds: the Wildschönau Mountains, the Alpbachtal Valley, the Kitzbühel Alps, and the Rofan Mountains. From the summit above the connecting lift in the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to this special viewpoint.
Another popular “favorite spot” is the wooden bench on the Schatzberg slope no. 12.
The small chapel at the Markbachjoch is also an idyllic place to relax.
