Wildschönau open air pool
Outdoor pool with swimming pool, sunbathing lawn, and playground.
After a day of mountain hiking, a visit to the Wildschönau outdoor pool is a great idea.
The heated facility is located between the villages of Oberau and Niederau on the easy St Francis Path. The sports pool for swimming and the multi-purpose pool for bathing and splashing around cover an area of over 1000 m². There are diving platforms at the sports pool. The water slide at the multi-purpose pool is for bathers who like speed!
For the youngest bathers, there is a children's pool with a pink elephant and a playground with a sandpit, trampoline, climbing tower, and suspension bridge.
Other swimming opportunities outside the Wildschönau are at the lake Reintalersee or the indoor swimming pool Atoll at Lake Achensee.
The large lawn offers plenty of space and shade. After swimming, treat yourself to a cool drink, snacks or an ice cream on the café terrace.
The beach volleyball court on the grounds of the open-air pool will delight sports fans. Just a few metres from the outdoor pool area is the Oberau tennis court for more sporting activity.

In 2026, the outdoor swimming pool will be open daily from May 14th to September 6th, 2025. (Subject to change!)

July & August
Daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
September
Daily from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.
Subject to change due to weather conditions. Only open in good weather.
