Ski Adventures on Planet Earth

On his expeditions to some of the most inhospitable places on Earth—including Onekotan, Siberia, the Arctic, and Antarctica—Matthias Haunholder has faced extreme challenges that have shaped not only his athletic career but also his personal development. In his lecture, he describes the experiences of these adventures, discusses the risks and the intensive planning required for such undertakings, and shares the valuable lessons he has learned on his expeditions to date.

As a special feature, there will be a workshop on the topic of “tactical alpine medicine” prior to the lecture.
