Atelier Ines Nickchen | © Ines Nickchen

In the studio and workshop of Ines Nickchen in Oberau, works of remarkable expressive power are created from clay, porcelain, glass, and Japanese paper – intriguing, beautiful, thought-provoking, and inspiring pieces. On display are bowls, vases, and tea sets, thin-walled and high-fired, created for everyday use, as well as large-format ceramic pictures and objects made of ceramic and colored glass. Ines Nickchen studied under Takako Araki in Japan and worked in studios in Bangkok, Berlin, Moscow, and Glashütten in the Taunus region. Today, she lives and works in the Wildschönau. Her works have been exhibited in galleries and museums both nationally and internationally.

In addition, the artist shares her knowledge and experience through courses and workshops held in her studio.

Anyone interested in visiting the studio or working with clay themselves is warmly welcome at any time by prior telephone arrangement.

Information on course dates and opening hours can be found on her website.
