Alm to Alm Walk
Alm to Alm walk
Meadows and high pastures, where local farmers send their livestock in the warm summer months characterise the Tirolean landscape. This walk takes you first to the Cheese Alm where over 150 head of cattle spend the summer. Onwards to the little Feld Alm just beneath the Feldalphorn Mountain for a rest stop. Continue on to to the Breitegg Alm and finally to the largest Alm in the region, the Schönanger Alm from where the little Bummelbahn (or taxi) can be take back to the starting point.
This walk is offered as a guided walk in June, July and August.
Walking time: 4.5 hrs (total duration approx. 6 hrs)

Meet: 9.00 a.m. at the ticket office of the Markbachjoch cable car in Niederau
