You can reach the reservoir from the Markbachjoch cable car mountain station in about half an hour. Right next to the reservoir is a sculpture park featuring a total of 30 works by international artists. The park is idyllically situated by the water and is easily accessible from the Markbachjoch. From there, the trail continues down into the valley toward Niederau.
