The starting and finishing point of this route is the church in Niederau. From there, the path leads down the sunny slope towards the valley. At the Klausenhof farm, the route crosses a road, after which it continues with a gentle incline along the edge of the forest.
The forest edge path winds its way above the villages with gentle ups and downs towards Oberau. This section is mostly on easily runnable terrain.
From Oberau, you can take the bus back to Niederau. Alternatively, the very easy St. Francis Trail and the subsequent section through the village lead back to the starting point at the church in Niederau.
This route is suitable as an easy introduction, for shorter evening runs, and is also partially usable in winter.
