Our hiking guides accompany you from mid-May to mid-October, Monday to Friday, to the most beautiful places in the Wildschönau.
The adventure hiking programme offers varied tours for all levels of difficulty.
All guided hikes are included with the Wildschönau (Premium) Card.
Highlights: Hike along the Wildschönauer Höhenweg trail, to the hidden natural moor or through idyllic forests.

HIKING WITH ALL YOUR SENSES
Join us on a special hike above Oberau — a break for body and mind. Together, we’ll leave everyday life behind, turn off our phones, and use small prompts to focus our attention on the quiet, often-overlooked details. The silence and beauty of the surroundings provide space to breathe deeply, take in our surroundings, and recharge. It is a hike in community, and yet everyone can be completely at one with themselves. At the end, there is an opportunity to stop for a refreshment and let the experience come to a leisurely end.
LATERN FAMILY HIKE
Spinnfried is a little spider with a big heart for art. He weaves beautiful webs in the attic—but out of fear of the outside world, they usually remain undiscovered. Together with your family, we will go on an atmospheric lantern hike, get to know Spinnfried, and show him that sometimes you just have to go out to find happiness.
SUNRISE HIKE
Start the new day with us and experience the special atmosphere of the early morning. While it’s still dark, we’ll set off at a leisurely pace through the forest and hike toward the first light of day. At Kragenjoch, a special place of power, we’ll enjoy the sunrise together and welcome the new day. Afterward, we’ll return in time for breakfast.

WILDSCHÖNAU HIGH TRAIL ALPINE PASTURE TOUR
Together, we’ll take the cable car up to the Markbachjoch and begin our tour with breathtaking views. Hiking along the Wildschönau high trail, we pass expansive alpine pastures on our way up to the “Hörndl,” one of the region’s most beautiful peaks. Along the way, hiking guide Gerlinde shares fascinating insights into life on the alpine pastures. We continue along idyllic trails toward Schönanger pasture, where we’ll end our day in the mountains on a leisurely note.

FILZMOOS HIGH MOOR
Experience the unique landscape of the Filzmoos High Moor and immerse yourself in a fascinating natural world. You’ll have the chance to take off your hiking boots and explore the moor barefoot — a truly special experience for all the senses. Together, we’ll discover the diverse flora and fauna of this unique biotope. Afterward, we’ll visit the herd of red deer in the deer park near the Foisching snack station and bring the excursion to a leisurely end.
HERBAL FAMILY HIKE
We will go on an exciting herb walk with parents, grandparents, and anyone else who wants to join us. On the way to the Hintersalcherhof farm, we will discover many wild herbs, and at the farm we will visit the herb garden. Together we will collect these herbs, and the children will prepare a flower spread, which we will enjoy with homemade bread and feel-good tea. Together we will hike back to our starting point.
