High Trail Trophy Wildschönau
Save the date: October 2nd & 3rd, 2026
The High Trail Trophy hiking and trail running event leads along the Wildschönau High trail from Niederau to the Schönangeralm in Auffach. The routes are physically demanding, pass rustic alpine huts, and offer breathtaking views - but in the end, it's the fastest time that counts!

Impressions
Hiking route
The hiking route for individual hikers and teams of three starts at the Markbachjochbahn mountain station and leads via Rosskopf, Feldalphorn, Schwaigberghorn and Breiteggern to Schönangeralm.
Length: 15 kilometres
Power Trail
The Power Trail also starts at the Markbachjochbahn mountain station and leads via Rosskopf, Feldalphorn, Schwaigberghorn, Breiteggern, Breiteggspitze and Siedljoch to Schönangeralm.
Length: 20 kilometres
Summit Trail
The Summit trail begins at the valley station of the Markbachjochbahn cable car and leads over an impressive mountain range: from Rosskopf via Feldalphorn, Schwaigberghorn, Breiteggern, Breiteggspitze and Siedljoch, continuing over Sonnjoch, Gressenstein, and Großer Beil to Schönangeralm.
Complete safety equipment must be carried in order to participate. Equipment will be checked at random at the start.
- Your own water bottle – drinks are available in containers.
- First aid kit & rescue blanket.
- Water- and wind-resistant rain jacket.
- Cell phone with the alpine emergency number (140) stored.
- Optional: installed emergency app from Mountain Rescue Tyrol.
Mountain rescue services are on site to ensure safety on the route. It is also recommended that you install the emergency app and save the number 140.
