High Trail Trophy Wildschönau
The hiking and trail running event on October 3rd, 2026 follows the Wildschönauer Höhenweg from Niederau to the Schönangeralm in Auffach. The varied routes pass by rustic alpine huts and offer impressive panoramic views, testing participants’ endurance and stamina. There are three distances to choose from—in the end, it’s the fastest time that counts. Also new are kids’ races for the age groups U6 through U14, where even the youngest running enthusiasts can put their skills to the test.
More distance - More challenge
For the first time, trail runners can expect a course of up to 30 kilometers. For hikers, there are individual, 2-person, and 3-person team categories - the time of the last team member to cross the finish line will be used to determine the team’s ranking.
New 2026: Kids' Trophy
Following the High Trail Trophy, the race course belongs to the young runners for the first time! The Kids’ Trophy starts at 2:30 p.m. in the finish area near the Schönangeralm. Children in the U6 through U14 age groups can put their skills to the test on age-appropriate courses. Dragon Toni provides extra motivation and plenty of fun by cheering the kids on enthusiastically.

Yes, luggage transport to the finish line is included in the entry fee. Please label your backpack or luggage with your name and bib number and turn it in at the bib pickup area.
Yes, there are several aid stations along the route. The following stations are planned:
- Feldalm 7 km (for all): Water, sports drink, fruit, savory & sweet snacks
- Breitegg junction 12 km (for all): Water, sports drink
- Siedljoch at 15 km (only for the Power & Gipfel Trail): water, sports drink, fruit, savory & sweet snacks
- Seefeldalm at 23.5 km (only for the Gipfel Trail): water, sports drink, fruit, savory & sweet snacks

The mountain rescue service is on site to ensure safety along the trail. We also recommend installing the emergency app and saving the emergency number 140 in your cell phone.
Yes, a return shuttle from the Schönangeralm to the Markbachjochbahn parking lot will be provided.

Arrival
To ensure a smooth and timely arrival at the High Trail Trophy on October 3rd, 2026, we recommend that you plan your trip well in advance. Simply enter your starting address below, and the optimal route to the event venue will be displayed.
We recommend allowing enough time for your trip. Race number pickup begins as early as 6:00 a.m. If you have a long trip, we recommend arriving the day before so you can start the race well-rested. We’d be happy to help you find suitable accommodations.
It’s easy to get to Niederau by public transportation. Take the train to the Wörgl station, then take Bus Line 770 toward Auffach/Melkstatt to the Niederau Markbachjoch cable car stop. The trip takes less than 20 minutes. From the bus stop, it’s only about 100 meters to the meeting point at the Markbachjochbahn.
Yes. This event is organized in accordance with the criteria of Green Events Tirol. We place particular emphasis on the responsible use of resources. We take special care to minimize waste generation as much as possible. Any waste generated is sorted and recycled whenever possible.
