Mountain farming museum

 Z'Bach Museum

The original preserved farmhouse dates back to 1795 and was transformed into the current mountain farm museum in 1997.
A walk through the Z'Bach Mountain Farm Museum is a journey through time into the world of the ancestors of the Wildschönau. More than 1,200 exhibits vividly show the arduous life of the Tirolean mountain farmers. The exhibits were collected from all over the valley. Even though they are exhibited here unused, their counterparts are still in use today, e.g. the wooden mold for washing butter, the large pans for preparing the family meal, the "combs" for picking berries, the scythes, the kitchen stove, the tiled stove, the copper vessels or the tools for woodworking.

Interesting artifacts in the museum

The museum consists of various rooms and outbuildings:

  • Farm kitchen with the old stove
  • Livingroom with stove, where also the history of the immigrants to Dreizehnlinden is documented.
  • Various rooms such as the Rifle room, smoking room or the DIY room
  • The beautiful chapel in the museum's annex and the old mill with original oven are interesting outbuildings.

Craft fair

Woodcarvers, woodturners, felt slipper, flax spinners and basket weavers, honey makers and other craftsmen show their techniques at the weekly craft market, which takes place every Thursday from June to September.
Farm products are available from the museum shop. The fragrant lard noodles attract visitors to the old museum kitchen.
