Family Advent Drachental
On the first two Advent weekends (November 28th and 29th, and December 5th and 6th, 2026), visitors can enjoy an atmospheric Advent market from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day, featuring mulled wine, punch, and delicacies from Wildschönau’s local clubs. Local farmers will offer regional products and Christmas gift ideas. Traditional Advent music sets the perfect mood.
For children, there’s a varied program featuring ice skating and rides on the “Drachenflitzer” Alpine Coaster. Illuminated figures throughout the grounds further enhance the Christmas atmosphere.
Our TIP: The Nativity Scene Trail
Along the Franziskusweg, lovingly crafted nativity scenes in illuminated display cases invite you to take a leisurely stroll. The nativity scenes were created by the “Krippenfreunde Wildschönau” association and can also be admired in the evening. Parking is available at the z’Bach Mountain Farm Museum and at the Tourism Association. From there, the Family Park is about a 15-minute walk away.

First Weekend of Advent | November 28th & 29th, 2026

- Sunday, Nov. 29th: A children’s caroling group and children’s choir will create a festive Christmas atmosphere and bring old traditions back to life.
Second weekend of Advent | December 5th & 6th, 2026
- Gift ideas and arts and crafts from numerous exhibitors
- Regional delicacies from local clubs
- Saturday, December 5th: Visit by “Teufelgruppen” (devil groups)
- Sunday, December 6th: St. Nicholas arrives and brings small gifts.
- Sunday, December 6th: Musical entertainment with the Unterinntal Christmas Brass Band, conducted by Peter Obrist. By selling their Christmas CD, the musicians are supporting four-year-old Nina, who suffers from the rare ZTTK syndrome. For every CD sold, 10 euros go directly to Nina and her family.
The Family Park - featuring an ice rink, 5D movie theater, Alpine Coaster, curling rink, and marble run - will also be open on both weekends.
