High Trail Trophy
The hiking and trail running event follows the Wildschönau Höhenweg from Niederau to the Schönangeralm, offering a mix of physical challenge, breathtaking natural scenery, and unforgettable summit moments – and in the end, we’ll see who was the fastest!
Attractive prizes await the top three solo hikers, trail runners (Power & Uphill Tour), and 3-person teams.

The hiking route for solo participants and 3-person teams leads from Markbachjoch over Rosskopf, Feldalphorn, Schwaigberghorn, and Breiteggern to Schönangeralm.
Distance: 15.3 km
The Power Tour starts at the top station of the Markbachjoch cable car, leading over Rosskopf, Feldalphorn, Schwaigberghorn, Breiteggern, Breiteggspitze, and Siedljoch to the Schönangeralm.
Distance: 19,7 km
The Uphill Tour starts at the bottom station of the Markbachjoch cable car and follows the same route over all peaks to the Schönangeralm.
Distance: 23 km

A good level of fitness is required for all hikers. Children can take part from the age of 12.
The Auffach mountain rescue service is on the route in case anyone needs help.
Participation for trail runners is only possible from the age of 18!

A refund of the participation fee is only possible in the event of illness.
In this case, a medical certificate is required.
In all other cases – such as cancellations or non-attendance on the event day despite valid registration – there is no entitlement to a refund of the participation fee.
