High Trail Trophy

The new hiking highlight in the Wildschönau is the Wildschönau High Trail.

The 2nd Wildschönau High Trail Trophy is be taking place on 12. October 2024.

The event starts at 8 a.m. at the valley station of the Markbachjoch cable car in Niederau.
The route leads over peaks and rustic alpine pastures through beautiful landscape to the end of the valley, the Schönangeralm.

The starter package for individual hikers includes:

•  Starter package for individual hikers, € 33 per person.
•  Starter package for teams of 3, € 75 per team.
•  NEW this year is the category for trail runners!
•  A small snack (fruit, drink & muesli bar).
•  Lift ticket to the Markbachjoch cable car
•  A souvenir sport shirt.
•  Return journey from the finish (Schönanger Alm) back to the starting point on the hiking bus.

The trail leads over four peaks and rustic alpine pastures, passing through beautiful landscape on the way to the end of the valley, the Schönanger Alm.

The facts: The hiking route is categorised as intermediate and has been awarded with the Tirolean Mountain Trail Quality Seal. The route is 14.5 km long with 673 uphill and 958 downhill metres.


Attractive prizes are to be won for the three fastest individuals* and the three fastest teams!* Each for hikers and trail runners.

Minimum age is 10 years.
