Meschugge Quintet

The Innsbruck-based Meschugge Quintet was founded in March 2021 and is dedicated to the tradition of gypsy swing. The band plays music inspired by the tradition of legendary Sinti guitarist Django Reinhardt, who is considered a pioneer of European jazz. The ensemble consists of rhythm and solo guitar, violin, clarinet, and double bass, creating an exciting interplay of different timbres.
