Open Distillery Day

At the Distillery Open House at the Steinerhof in Oberau, everything revolves around the Wildschönau specialty: Krautinger Schnaps. On October 9, starting at 11:00 a.m., the Steinerhof opens its doors and invites you to a cozy courtyard festival.

During the distillery tours held every hour on the hour, visitors will gain fascinating insights into the time-honored art of distillation and have the rare opportunity to look over the shoulders of the Krautinger distillers. While some secrets remain well-guarded, the distillers are happy to share interesting facts and curiosities about Wildschönau schnapps.

There’s also plenty to enjoy in terms of food and music: homemade vegetarian farm delicacies from the Steinerhof, as well as treats for meat lovers from the pantry of the Pension Schneerose, will satisfy your appetite. Musical entertainment will be provided by the band "PLUS VIER DREI" with Austropop & Rock.
