Autumn in the valley

Autumn is a very special time for hiking: the colors of the landscape are more intense, the air is clearer, and the view from the mountains stretches even further! 

The Wildschönauer Höhenweg is just one of the hiking highlights during this beautiful season.  The trail leads over several peaks and cozy alpine pastures through an exciting landscape to the Schönangeralm at the end of the valley.

The Wildschönau Card includes great services such as guided hikes, a hiking bus, and more.
A hike is even more relaxing when you can take the gondola up first! In addition to the Wildschönau Card benefits, the Wildschönau Premium Card also includes the mountain railways. The Markbachjochbahn is in operation until October 19, 2025. 
The Wildschönau Card or the Wildschönau Premium Card is automatically available at the respective partner businesses. 

Autumn is the time for festivals. At the big Almabtrieb and Brauchtumsfest on September 21, beautifully decorated cows return from the alpine pastures to the valley. Many event highlights await you at TAL Herbst Wildschönau.
