Beetroot cake

  • 250g water beet
  • 150g powdered sugar
  • 150g grated almonds
  • 250g flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 5 eggs
  • Rum, lemon zest

Cooking steps

  1. Separate the eggs. Beat the yolks and sugar until frothy.
  2. Whisk the egg whites until stiff.
  3. Slice the beetroot and carefully fold in with the almonds and pour everything into a springform pan.
  4. Bake for approx. 45 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius.
