A Time Full of Delight

Fall in the Wildschönau

Fall in Wildschönau is a very special time: the colors of the landscape shine more brightly, the air is clearer, and the view from the mountains stretches even farther! In addition to nature’s impressive display of colors, it is above all the traditional food festivals that make this beautiful season even more vibrant.

Our Tips for October

The fascinating Bergbauernmuseum z’Bach in Oberau will remain open through October 23.

The Drachental Family Park is open through November 1. Our tip: Zoom through the colorful fall landscape on the Alpine Coaster!
(Hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

An up-to-date list of all open restaurants is available here daily.

An ideal starting point for fall hikes is the Schönangeralm at the end of the valley. At the Schönangeralm Alpine Inn, you can still enjoy regional delicacies through October 25 and buy top-quality products at the cheese shop. The Schönanger Loop Trail is still a worthwhile hiking recommendation even in November.

A hike through the impressive Kundl Gorge is still possible until mid-November.
