Schatzberg cable car in the Wildschönau
The Schatzberg summer cable car takes you comfortably up the mountain. The cable car takes just under 15 minutes from the village centre to the Schatzberg. Lots of hiking starts from the top station. Hiking routes include the Gern summit and the Joelspitze. The easy Schatzberg circular trail goes to the reservoir above the Gernalm. At the Schatzberg cross, a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains of the Wildschönau and the Alpbachtal opens up! The longer hike up the Lämpersberg is for experienced mountain hikers. Tips for bikers: The Schatzberg is not only a rewarding destination for hikers, but also for mountain bikers. Tips for a lovely rest stop
The Schatzberg is a place for families. Inns at the middle and top stations invite you to stop for a bite to eat.
From the top station, the Schatzberg family trail, which is also suitable for prams, winds its way over the middle station to Auffach. Children can find paddle at the Koglmoos water playground.
The playgrounds at the Schatzbergalm mountain inn and at Koglmoos are located directly on the circular trail.
