Museums are NOT boring
The Wood Museum in the centre of Auffach brings the natural material to life. On more than 2,000 square metres, a unique labyrinth leads through 39 rooms full of exciting showpieces made of wood. Making honey candles and cutting out wooden figures with a saw are on the agenda on Thursdays at the Z'Bach Farming Museum. Children who in the Dragon Club can help bake bread. Admission to the museum is included in the Wildschönau Card.Z'Bach Farming Museum

How do they get the holes in the cheese?
At the Holzalm dairy on the Markbachjoch in Niederau, children can watch the cheese makers at work. Of course you can also taste the delicious cheese. Fresh buttermilk is available on the terrace of the alp. The cheese tour lasts about 90 minutes. Every Wednesday and Friday until 8. September.
There is a playground next door.
The easy hiking trail through the forest is easy for children.
For animal lovers
The Foisching deer park above the Auenweg path in Niederau is home to a herd of deer. If you are very quiet they will come out of the trees to graze.
Leisure time with pets
Heidi, Cappu and Reh, the goats are hand-fed by a group of not more than 6 children. At the same time the children are told interesting facts about the animals.
Afterwards the children take the goats for a walk through Niederau. Finally the kids get to pet the rabbits and guinea pigs. Cost: € 12 per child. Siblings pay € 10.
