The mountain challenge in autumn

High Trail Trophy Wildschönau

The hiking and trail running event on October 2nd and 3rd, 2026, leads along the Wildschönauer High trail from Niederau to the Schönangeralm in Auffach. The routes are physically demanding, pass rustic alpine huts, and offer breathtaking views—in the end, it's the fastest time that counts!

New 2026

More distance - More challenge

On Friday, October 2nd, the race weekend kicks off with an uphill sprint. The course is a short but intense 3 kilometers of steep climbing, leading from Niederau up to the Markbachjoch. Afterwards, there will be a cozy get-together at the Rübezahlhütte.

On Saturday, October 3rd, the distances along the Höhenweg trail will follow. Trail runners can look forward to up to 30 varied kilometers for the first time. For hikers, there is an individual, 2-person, or 3-person classification—the time of the last team member counts.
